As for rafting.. My wife and kids and I took a 2 hour trip down some freezing river in Colorado several years ago... The water was just barely melted snow from higher up in the mountains.... The rapids were mild compared to most but it was plenty for me. All I remember is freezing...and my legs going to sleep because we had to tuck our feet back up underneath us between the bottom of the raft and the part we were sitting on.. that was supposed to help keep us in the raft. Right. I have since adopted a policy that if it requires a helmet and a life jacket at the same time, it is not a vacation activity for me.

I've never gone white water rafting but I know the answer to your question. Sly & The Family Stone sang "Hot Fun in The Summer Time" (I knew the answer but googled to make sure I was correct before posting).

I can't stump you guys. I'll have to pick some harder questions!

White water rafting down the Rio Grande River in July is pretty tame. Made it down the 3 hour race course with no casualties. Only 2 class 3 rapids in that stretch. Wasn't too cold and the entire family from 12-44 had a great time.

I know this is an old post, but I've been busy and just now catching up. :-) Anyway, I went white water rafting down the Ocoee here in East Tennessee last year, and it was the best thing I've EVER done! What an adrenalin rush! I highly recommend it!! :-) I can't wait to go again!!!
