The Rolling Stones were in concert in Regina last night. I know. I could hear them rehearse, from one and a half miles away. Someone said 40,000 people were expected to flock here to spend time with the Stones.
I had it much better. I got to spend time worshipping with an assembly of highly motivated and enthusiastic Christians from all across Canada and beyond. Spending time with the Rolling Stones? So what? I got to have lunch with Mike O'Neil, President of Oklahoma Christian University. We enjoyed sweet fellowship with great men like Jack Reese, Dean of the graduate school of Abilene Christian University, and outstanding speaker, author and worship leader. I was fascinated to enjoy some one-on-one time with former Christian college President and pulpit minister, Mike Armour, who is now serving as the President of Eastern European Missions. Mike is also in demand as a strategic leadership business consultant and is published on the subject. He has spoken on platforms with people like Stephen Covey. Not bad company, eh?
