That's easy. "All I Wanna Do Is Have Some Fun" Sheryl Crow. One thing I didn't know for a long time is that she used to sing backup for Michael Jackson in his concerts.

If I'm not mistaken that sounds an often lot like "Soak Up the Sun" by Sheryl Crow.

Oops! Wrong song, right artist. Oh well, does that mean I don't get the trip to Puerta Vallarta?

Yes, the correct answer is "Soak Up The Sun" by Sheryl Crow.
I did hear that she sang back up for Michael Jackson. Didn't she used to teach school? Now, tell me who got the answer without having to look it up??? And, tell me another song with such profound lyrics. . . Re: Pop Quiz # 3

More profound? I mean something like this: What song contained "PAPA-OOM-MOW-MOW?" To be honest, I can't tell you the name of the song, but I remember that melody. (Not to be confused with the Oak's "oom pa pa oom pa pa mow mow."

Beach Boys - Evidently that is the name of the song.

Ahhh....I was too late to answer on this one, but I did know the answer without cheating. :) ...anyway, I know The Beach Boys covered "Papa Oooo Mow Mow" on one of their concert albums (and I thought that was the title, was it not?), but not sure of the original band. What about "Bird, Bird, Bird, Bird Is The Word..." My dad tells me that the guy who recorded that song just did it to show that anything would sell. From my understanding it was a big hit "back in the day!!" Case and point! :)
Here's a lyric that might stump some people: "I got a McMuffin for just 99 cents a day... I think they ran a special... Good luck to all contestants!! :) You don't have to tell me the year, just the title and who sings it!!! :) And Keith, this could be bad, this game could be never ending for me!! ha ha! How about this one:
"You ever heard of a ricochet bisquit? A ricochet bisquit bounces off of all four walls and into your mouth. If you miss.............YOU GO HUNGRY!!....mow mow mow" Re: Re: Pop Quiz # 3

I went from "diddly squat" to more non-sensical lyrics. What about "Doo wah diddy diddy dum diddy doo?"

These lyrics went to #13 in 1961. Bad year for lyrics, no?

What was the name of that song? It seems like a lot of songs back then had some very "unique" wording. How would you spell out the hook line of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight?"

I have no idea, but I loved the Kingston Trio's spoof take on the song.
