Since it has been five years since we saw the ice sculptures, we treated ourselves again Saturday Night at Opry Mills to see this amazing handiwork.
One of Allison's gifts was a digital camera.

MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Lancasters.

Hi Keith...
seasons Greetings here as well.I was wondering though..what is your personal take about the whole issue of christmas... What should be our main focus during this festive season as Christians...I really need your input on this question..Thanks in advance Re: Re: Merry Christmas!

Hello Gregory! How is Jamaica? I suppose there is no snow in your country?
You ask a very good question and I'll give you my opinion. As a Christian, I am saddened by the fact that a very selfish and godless society gives almost no credence to our faith and to the reality of God. However, there is a period of time every year when many people, who you would never suspect, will engage the miraculous story of God becoming flesh in Jesus. Personally, I think that is FANTASTIC! Of course, I wish they would acknowledge the truth wholeheartedly and without reservation, but at least this is a step in the right direction and can help prepare them for the Gospel. Even if Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, I am thrilled that so much emphasis is placed on his birth during this season. Of course the commercialization of Christmas can be detracting from the Good News, but even the practice of "gift giving" draws our attention back to the fact that God gave us the ultimate gift - and, that if we want to be like God, we will be "givers" too. Give our love to the brothers and sisters there! Re: Merry Christmas!

Keith! I cannot believe that you were at the ice sculpture thing on Saturday night! We traveled from Searcy to Nashville, met my family from Pennsylvania, and spent the night at the Opryland Hotel and we visited the ice scupture display the same night! I sure wish we would have seen you while we were there! It was beautiful, wasn't it!
It's been a long time since we've talked to you. I hope you are doing well. We think of you often! Jay and Ruth Simpson jorrylin@yahoo.com |
