I’d like to know what you think are the greatest obstacles to good singing in most churches. Choose 5 from the list below (or add some of your own) and list them, numbering 1 through 5 - number 1 being the greatest obstacle. These are simply our opinions, but an interesting discussion may help us understand the problems and seek solutions.
- Technical limitations (acoustics, facility, audio, video)
- Tempo - songs are too slow or drag
- Congregants unable to sing in parts or making up parts
- Inadequate preparation for worship plan
- Key - songs incorrectly pitched and/or sinking pitch
- Lack of overall enthusiasm
- Worship doesn’t flow (seemingly disjointed)
- Poor worship leading
Begin your comment with your list and add comments afterwards if you choose.
Thanks for your thoughts!
