Sherry Clifton is one talented lady.  You will recognize her voice as the primary alto on the Praise & Harmony Vocalist Training Disc.  You can guess I'm pretty picky about my praise teams and I entrust her to handle some rehearsals for our ministry - she is that good!  Sherry, June and Patti are in the Madison praise team ministry and also part of the award-winning TuneTown Chorus.

In March, TuneTown Chorus competed in a regional, annual competition and won first place!  This win will allow them to compete against winners from around the world in Calgary, Canada in October 2007.  This contest will include, not only groups from the United States, but from Austrailia, Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, England, Japan and New Zealand.

Two weeks ago, the TuneTown Chorus sweeped up more awards in another competition in Columbus, Ohio.  Many times I have seen their masterful director in action (another talented Sherry), as Sherry Lewis is no stranger to winning international awards.  My professional singing experience has been predominantly with all-male groups and I am biased toward that "male harmony" sound.  Having heard several female singing groups, I have mostly been left unimpressed until I heard Tune Town and their stellar sub groups.  Sherry has assembled a very talented, energetic and outstanding combination of singers.

I guess all the celebrities turned them down, so they invited me to emcee their annual concert September 23rd.  What an honor!  Charlie Chase (of Crook and Chase fame) and country music star, Jim Ed Brown hosted previous concerts.  I have always enjoyed TuneTown's first class concerts (this year's line up includes comedian Rik Roberts and the Metropolis quartet) and hope you can join us at Acuff Theatre, right next to the Grand Ole Opry House.

For tickets, see the attached flyer or you can contact Sherry Clifton at sclifton@wallerlaw.com or call her at 615-415-8089.

I almost forgot to tell you - I'm going to get to sing "Shut De Do" with them during the concert.  Hope to see you there.
