Allen Arena was ringing last night with harmonies and memories of 25 years of singing ministry. We'll share more information and photos later. For those who came to the concert, we'd love to hear your impressions.

Keith,
We loved the concert! The selection of songs was great. I was also very impressed with the current guys in Acappella. Question: I saw all the cameras; was that just for the projection/screens or is there a possibility this will be available on DVD at some point? Please! Mike R. Re: Re: What A Homecoming Concert!

Mike, The cameras were used for projection and archival purposes. Glad you were there! -KL
Re: What A Homecoming Concert!
I thought it was awesome overall and very well put together. The highlights for me was the Fab Four being on the stage together again, Water From the Well with the kids, Everybody Said, and each of the songs that had a former vocalist as a lead feature (Rescue, Roll Jordan, etc.). I was worried that the crowd was a little quiet early, but as the concert went on the response was better and better. An awesome concert and an awesome event - I look forward to next year and the things coming even sooner ;-)

I was so fortunate as to be at the 25th Anniversary Concert last night and even had a FRONT ROW seat!! It was undescribable!!! Undeniably the best concert I have been to EVER and I'm 53 and have been to a few concerts! lol
I would have paid 4 times the price for the tickets, but I guess I can just spend the extra on CDs. haha The Holy Spirit was definitely in attendancel!! It was the best worship service ever! Can we have a 26th Anniversary concert too? PLEASE?? Suzy in KY Re: What A Homecoming Concert!
Incredible! That's all I have to say for tonight. I'll have a better review tomorrow when I can actually think straight.

The concert was great. Couldn't have been better. My hubby (who helped hand out books during the second praise and harmony class) and I started our relationship with the love of Acappella as our only tie. Then we sat at that concert together while holding our 6 year old son (with another on the way) and soaked in the memories and the message. We love this ministry and can't wait to see everyone at the next reunion. The 20th reunion was good, but personally I think this one was better (except some of the guys were missing....Kevin, Barry, Steve.....).

This concert was a joy to attend. You guys did a great job all the way around. I was so excited to see Wayburn, George, Dewey and Mo together again. As they were singing I thougt, "Ah, this is what Acappella is supposed to sound like". After the first song with the fab 4, I leaned down to my Son 7 yr old son, Wes and said, "now what do you think of that son?", and he replied, "It's ok dad, but when is the other group coming back, I like them a lot better".
That reminded me of an acappella concert I went to at Opryland when I was a teen. I was so excited to see Keith Lancaster in concert, and remember being disappointed when 4 young guys I'd never seen before (George, Wayburn, Dewey and Mo) came out as Acappella. I remember thinking "they are ok, but when is Kieth gonna come out and sing. They did invite Keith to come up on stage and sing the song Acappella, and I thought "that's what Acappella is supposed to sound like." I say all that to remind us of what an amazing job you guys do of reaching across generational lines to connect with all ages. Thanks for blessing us this past weekend, and for the past 25+ years. It was a GREAT concert! I was at Tulsa 5 years ago, and having a new chance to see the FabFour back, as well as Keith and Rodney on the stage was just WOW. Wayburn singing Rescue was by far the best moment of the night, this is just the second time I hear him in concert, but I think this was the best performance he has done on this song. Duane singing "Tell me something I don't know", Mo singing "Sweet Fellowship", George singing "Everybody Said" and Keith singing "John the Revelator" were also m favorite moments. My soul is very delighted, I thank God for this wonderful ministry. I can't wait for the 30th Anniversary!!! ... :)

It was really something. I've been listening to Acappella for nearly the entire 25 years and attended several concerts, but it was wonderful for my kids to actually get to experience it! My 14 year old was on his feet the entire last 1/2 of the concert - he loved it so much. Though he's been brought up on the CDs and cassettes of Acappella, he was very young the last time he actually saw them in concert. He's never seen Keith and Rodney nor the FAB 4 together as I did in the early days. What a rush for the entire family!
We listened to CDs we purchased all the way back to Illinois yesterday. The entire ACAFEST weekend was outstanding - getting to see groups I've listened to for years and being introducted to new ones as well! The ACAFEST classes were outstanding too! A special 'Thank you' to you, Keith and all the performers for the weekend of my life! Re: What A Homecoming Concert!
This was quite the concert. I haven't been listening all 25 years...but that's only because I've only been alive 17, but I can remember listening to Conquerors and Better than Life on cassette on the way to church when I was about 2 or 3, and I loved the music. I thought the concert was organized very well and integrated all the new and "old" (as in previous, not refering to any singers age haha) singers of Acappella very well and allowed them all to perform their stuff. There were some intense moments too! When George started "Not My Will But Thine" a wave of awe and silent excitement swept across the audience as we realized we were in for quite a show. I've been waiting for this concert for quite a while, and I was definitely not dissapointed. It was a great grand finale to Acafest and Summer Celebration. Awesome job to everyone who was a part of this show or behind the scenes and made this happen. Fans were happy, singers were reunited, but most important of all, God was glorified.
