What an amazing experience being in your class and singing under the big tent at RRFE. I love music and have taken voice lessons most of my life, but never have I had the opportunity to sit at the feet of someone as talented as you. You have a great gift, and you are using it for the Lord. I know He is glorified in you. I told you at RRFE that my husband should be in your class...I have been encouraging him to start a singing class for the youth on Sunday nites. I believe music writes things deep in your heart. I will continue to pray for you in your call to restore 4 part harmony in acapella singing.
I plan on seeing you in the mountains next June!

This is Phil Crews, one of the tenors in the tent that attended your class. I am very appreciative of how you taught us to sing in harmony with a spirit and better understanding. I am thankful for your stepping out to help christians sing with understanding, both in notes, music theory and words. I only wish there was more time. I will look for other seminars in our area, Colorado. Thank you so very much!

At Red River Family Encampment you talked about restoring four-part harmony in church worship. For years the churches of Christ were known for amazing four-part harmony acapella singing. Our society sang at home, school and church. However that has changed. As a retired school teacher, I saw fewer children enter kindergarten being able to sing even simple melodies. Our society has changed, becoming more competitive with weaker singers becoming spectators (consider American Idol). This is entering our worship services, too. That is why some congregations have praise teams. It's time to go back to the "good old days" when congregations taught sight-reading of hymns and sent young men to Song Leaders Schools. If we can teach a new generation to learn to sing and lead songs from a book, maybe our worship services will be more edifying to each other and acceptable to God.
