While visiting the northern part of the North Island of New Zealand, we came upon many historical sites.  The first capital of New Zealand was located there and many of the first European settlers arrived in that area first.  Thus, we found many signs documenting the history as we traveled.  After reading sign after sign with the dates and description of their historical significance, I busted out laughing as I came upon this sign:
