Unfortunately, the nature of this area of service is such that when engineers do a great job, usually nobody pays attention. It's when things go wrong that they get noticed. That's why I believe they need more encouragement, especially from the leadership. A sign used to be posted by the sound board that said, "Do your job in such a way that no one notices you are here." That statement is coming from a servant's heart.
